About

Hello everyone. My name is Greg. I am a London-based film and television editor.

For broadcast I have edited long-form specialist factual, arts, history, archive and observational documentaries across the BBC, Channel 4, Netflix, Apple TV and Al Jazeera English

I have also worked on several character-led feature documentaries for theatrical release, either as the film editor or additional editor. Most recently I came on board to help with Survival: Apollo 13 directed by BAFTA-nominated Peter Middleton for Netflix, and edited Ayouni and Queens of Syria with the award-winning director Yasmin Fedda, as well as being an additional editor on the Oscar-nominated Virunga.

In between longer projects, I continue to work on short documentaries. I have edited shorts for the BBC, The Guardian, Red Bull, Nowness, Vice and also independent docs and fiction for film festivals.

I am incredibly lucky to be a documentary editor. It's meant that I've worked on stories about everything from the seemingly trivial to some of life's most challenging subjects. From Belgian boxing champions to Judi Dench, from remote monasteries to remote surgery, land grabs to London gangs, photography to spitfires, from Beyonce to Belfast hip-hop. Each film confronts your ignorance, and asks you to find what is relatable and universal in every character and story.

The craft is also constantly evolving both in terms of form and developments in digital technology. Although the principles of storytelling remain, you are always learning.

I also speak Spanish and German, and when I'm not editing I am quite often playing football (ill-disciplined midfielder), or singing in a (exclusively festive) male-voiced choir

I am always happy to come and have a cup of tea and a chat.
