I was lucky enough to help put together some scenes as an Additional Editor for this incredible true story. Nominated for an Oscar for Best Documentary Feature, Virunga follows several brave individuals who fight to protect the UNESCO world heritage site and its endangered mountain gorillas deep in the forest in Congo. As civil war breaks out, dark forces struggle to control the rich natural resources in the park, threatening the lives of everyone who has struggled to protect it.
